New advances in AI and data science play a key role in lessening the burden on people by assisting them with the tedious tasks of properly extracting, curating, and sharing information from all sources. This advancement frees people to focus on analysis and reasoning about the information, turning it into useful knowledge.”

Our approaches incorporate stakeholder tradecraft into AI models, improve data science techniques, and address explainable and ethical AI.
The mission of the JAIC, as specified in the DoD AI Strategy, is “to accelerate the delivery of AI-enabled capabilities, scale the Department-wide impact of AI, and synchronize DoD AI activities to expand Joint Force advantages.”
DoD established the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center in 2018 to direct the DoD Artificial Intelligence Strategy “to seize upon the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence technology for the benefit of America’s national security.” The JAIC’s mission includes attracting highly talented AI technology providers to help the advancement of American security and general welfare.
